Which measurement should I take first?▾
For shoes, foot length heel to longest toe in millimetres, standing, in the evening. For clothing, chest, waist and hip circumference in centimetres. Those four numbers cover roughly 90% of what any size chart needs.
Why do Korean and Japanese shoe sizes look like numbers in the 200s?▾
Both use foot length. Korea labels in millimetres (250, 255, 260) in 5 mm steps; Japan labels in centimetres (25, 25.5, 26). A KR 260 and a JP 26 are the same size, roughly US men's 8 or US women's 9.5.
