Glove Size Chart and Hand Measurement Guide
Glove sizes are based on hand circumference measured around the knuckles, excluding the thumb. Traditional US and EU numeric sizes are the circumference in inches: a 21.5 cm hand is about 8.5 inches, so glove size 8.5. Letter sizes then group these ranges: men's M usually spans 8.5 to 9 inches, women's M spans 7 to 7.5. Leather dress gloves use the numeric scale, while sports, work and winter gloves mostly use letters.
Wrap a tape around the fullest part of your dominant hand with fingers together, then measure hand length from the wrist crease to the tip of the middle finger. Both numbers matter: long slim hands may need a size up for finger length while fitting the palm at a smaller size. Leather stretches around 5 percent over the first weeks, so a snug fit is correct for dress gloves; insulated winter gloves should have a few millimetres of room at the fingertips.

Your dominant hand, which is usually 3 to 5 mm larger. Measure around the knuckles with the hand flat and fingers together, not including the thumb, and pull the tape snug without compressing the skin.
How do men's and women's glove sizes differ?▾

Slightly. Insulation compresses when tight and loses warmth, so allow 3 to 5 mm at the fingertips and choose the larger size if between two. Liners add roughly half a size.
