Men's Clothing Size Conversion Chart
Men's clothing sizes fall into three families. US and UK use letters (S, M, L, XL) or chest inches for shirts and waist inches for trousers. Europe numbers jackets 44 to 56 by half-chest in centimetres. Korea uses 90, 95, 100, 105 and 110, which are chest circumference in centimetres, and Japan uses S/M/L/LL/3L cut noticeably slimmer than Western equivalents. A Korean 100 is roughly a US M to L, an EU 50, and a Japanese L.
The chart maps each label back to body measurements: chest, waist, neck and sleeve. Measure the chest at the fullest point with arms relaxed and the waist where trousers sit, not at the narrowest point. Because Japanese and Korean garments run 3 to 5 cm shorter in sleeve and body than US ones at the same chest size, taller shoppers ordering from Uniqlo or Musinsa often go up one size or pick the 'tall' line where offered.

Korean 100 means a 100 cm chest, which is US L (chest 40 to 42 in), UK L, EU 50 and Japanese L. Korean 95 is US M, 105 is US XL. Fits are slimmer than US, so between sizes go up.
How do EU jacket sizes like 50 relate to chest measurement?▾
EU jacket size is half the chest in centimetres. A 100 cm chest is EU 50; 104 cm is EU 52. US suit sizes are chest in inches, so EU 50 is US 40R.
What waist size do I need in EU trousers?▾
